The
Shakira concert
By Kanupriya Mundhra
Oh my God!!!!!!!!! The concert absolutely rocked to the limit. Even though she made
us wait 4 ages in the hot, smelly and extremely sticky conditions. But once she started we forgot all about it.
The concert started at 7:45 and the crowd was getting wild about having to wait for
so long. She finally began with DON’T BOTHER. I think it was a great beginning as everyone knew this song and the special
effects rocked. She appeared from behind this huge curtain looking fabulous in these amazing black pants that she
wore thought the concert even under all her skirts’ she wore them
for good reason as there is a lot of jumping and hip shaking involved.
The next few songs were Latin and then she came up with underneath your clothes……..later
she introduced the band and sang a few songs with them.
I really liked this red dress that she wore and sang the whole song in and then lifted
her arms the fabric swayed around her enveloping her into a cocoon .it was amazing!!!!!!!
Among other recognizable songs she sang illegal and objection tango .she also sang
antologia a well recognized Latin track. and obviously WHENEVER WHEREVER after which she went backstage leaving the audience
quite annoyed as she had not sung hips don lie yet !!
Guess what she came back with fill force singing it along with Wyclef Jean the actual
singer. She rocked the crowed completely with her last performance. The concert ended with loads of pink and orange confetti
falling all over the audience .my mom desperately tried to grab some but failed miserably.
I unconditionally enjoyed the entire performance Shakira was the most energetic singer
of all time I doubt if even one corner of the front stage was left on which that dazzling damsel had not shaken her booty!!!
She has the most amazing voice and seeing her live with her awesomely lovely music just throws you off your feet. I could
say that what you see on VH1 is like 1/10 of how she actually sounds!!!!
So at the end of the day with aching/swollen /blistered feet, sore throat(from all
the yelling) I still think it was worth it!!!
